The aim of Knorr-Bremse Global Care is to offer sustained support to individuals who – through no fault of their own – are in need as a result of environmental catastrophes, accidents, armed conflict, poverty or illness. The projects supported by the organization represent an investment in an economically independent future for the people concerned. The main criterion for selecting projects is the principle of helping people to help themselves.
Since the organization was first set up in January 2005, 69 aid projects have been implemented in 31 countries on four continents, and some 200,000 people have been helped.
