Donation to Süddeutsche Zeitung advent calendar
Project description:
Any company that operates at more than 60 sites on all continents of the globe has a social duty to support those in need in the world. Unfortunately poverty is a phenomenon that occurs even in Germany, and in many cases people are not covered by the social security network.
Back in 1949, the Süddeutsche Zeitung publishing house decided to do something about increasing poverty in Germany and came up with the ideas of creating an advent calendar to raise money for good causes, including seriously ill children, old people or families in need and parents with disabled children.
Knorr-Bremse Global Care has donated EURO 50,000 to the Süddeutsche Zeitung relief organization. The sum will be divided equally between needy children and the elderly.

Status: Donation handed over in December 2006.
