Support of the Ruhunu orphanage in Galle
Project description:
The Ruhunu State Receiving Home is a state-owned orphanage for 35 children, 5 of which are disabled aged between 4 weeks and 5 years. The orphanage was in a very poor state before the tsunami and more children had to be accepted following the flood wave. Knorr-Bremse Global Care as well as other donators support this orphanage.
Location: Galle, situated at the furthest Southwest part of Sri Lanka.
Status: A generator was installed to supply electricity to this orphanage as well as to two other children's homes. The project is completed.
